About

The three GoTelework.org telework centers are sponsored by the US General Services Administration (GSA). They represent a cooperative effort by federal, state and local government, academia, and the private sector.

The centers are open to both federal and private sector employees. Telework information for federal employees is available at www.telework.gov (a site maintained by GSA and the Office of Personnel Management).

The Woodbridge, Stafford and Fredericksburg centers are operated by the George Washington Regional Commission.

The main purpose of these centers is enabling workers to avoid long commutes to their normal places of work. Not everyone who teleworks can or chooses to do so from their house, so these centers provide an attractive alternative.

Other uses for telework center offices include providing affordable office space for small startup companies and temporary project space for large companies. Private sector or non-profits can learn more about telework incentives at www.teleworkva.org.
